The Holidays are Here

Novozymes is full of holiday spirit.  We have a Christmas tree in the Customer Solutions area that we all get to bring in ornaments to decorate and the marketing group has stockings hanging outside their office doors.  There is also an Angel tree in the cafeteria that already has a few present under it.  The picture below is of the Angel tree.

On the lab side of things, we ordered a ThermoBiscuit this week.  It is a device that can monitor the internal temperature of bread as it is baking and send the data to a computer in real time.  We are going to use it to stop the baking process when the bread reaches certain internal temperatures and look at the development of enzymatic products to get a better idea of how the enzymes are working.  I am excited about getting to use the new equipment soon.
