Working on a Side Project

I’ve been working one day per week for the past month now.  I will probably only be updating my blog once every month now instead of every two weeks since I won’t have as much to talk about.

One nice thing about working one day per week is that when I order supplies they are here on my next working day.  I am working on a side project right now and we decided it would be a good idea to compare some of the enzymes with Native-PAGE so I ordered supplies last week and when I came in this morning I unpacked my boxes and started my experiment.

Working on the side project has been nice because it is part of a large group effort.  I’ve really enjoyed being part of the team, learning from the experiences of everyone and collaborating to solve a problem.  The last meeting was very interesting.  A few people presented what they had found so far and then everyone was able to share their perspective on the results.  At the end of the meeting, we discussed the next step for everyone and planned the next meeting which will be the end of this month.
